Jane Weissman led the Interstate Renewable Energy Council (IREC) for 22 years as the organization’s president and CEO. And on March 8, 2017, renewable energy professionals and supporters from across the country will gather in Washington D.C. to celebrate her leadership and the impact of IREC in its 35th year.
Weissman, who announced in 2016 that she would be stepping down from her role, shaped many of IREC’s accomplishments and set the tone for a growing clean energy revolution to gain legitimacy in the consumer market and political arena. Her legacy will be honored in the form of a fundraiser.
Since its founding in 1982, IREC has been an independent non-profit working to make clean, sustainable energy a reality for Americans through regulatory reforms, renewable energy workforce development, and education. Their programs are designed to benefit not only consumers, but policymakers, utilities, and the renewables industry.
As avid clean energy supporters, our team at RBI Solar invites you to join us in celebrating the achievements of Jane Weissman and IREC at IREC@35. Tickets must be purchased before the event.
If you are unable to attend the event, donations can also be made to IREC in Weissman’s honor.
